The brutal world of Mortal Kombat is returning to the big screen, and this time, the long-awaited tournament is finally happening. Mortal Kombat 2, the sequel to the 2021 reboot directed by Simon McQuoid, is officially set for release on October 24, 2025. Karl Urban as Johnny Cage

Rounding out the royal cast is Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel, the mother of Kitana. Sindel’s appearance hints at deeper lore from Edenia and the complexities of family alliances in Outworld.
Damon Herriman as Quan Chi
The dark sorcerer of the Netherrealm, Quan Chi, will be portrayed by Damon Herriman. Known for manipulation and necromancy, his presence signals a darker and more magical direction for the sequel.
