Fans of the cult-favorite video game Sleeping Dogs have reason to celebrate: the movie adaptation now has a finished script. Actor Simu Liu, known for his role as Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, confirmed the milestone by sharing a photo of the script’s title page on social media.

The adaptation of Sleeping Dogs has had a rocky road. Originally announced in 2017 with Donnie Yen attached to star, the project faced multiple delays and development challenges.
